Setting up SmoothTrack is straightforward with the following instructions included in the app:

 <li>Install and launch the latest version of the free program "OpenTrack" on your computer, available for download on GitHub at <a href="http://github.com/opentrack/opentrack/releases">http://github.com/opentrack/opentrack/releases</a>.</li>
 <li>In OpenTrack, select "UDP over network" as the input source, and "Freetrack 2.0 Enhanced" as the output with sub-type "Both".</li>
 <li>Ensure that the UDP port being used by OpenTrack is open on both your firewall and router.</li>
 <li>Find your PC's IP address by running 'ipconfig' in Command Prompt and locating the "IPv4 Address".</li>
 <li>In SmoothTrack settings, enter your PC's IP address and port.</li>
 <li>Click "Start" in OpenTrack.</li>
 <li>Tap "Play" in SmoothTrack, and you should witness the movement of the OpenTrack octopus, indicating that any game supporting TrackIR will now be compatible with your head tracking. For further assistance, refer to the Troubleshooting section.</li>
</ol>
